Restaurant Inspections – WPLG App Reviews

This could be such a helpful app, but its clearly not kept up-to-date. Additionally, it requires EXACT spelling & punctuation or states no match (an can make all the difference!). WPLG should be more aware of the problems & insist they be corrected. Recently, (& still!!), When clicking on "Closings", it states "no matches", despite Ch 10 news reporting on current Closings. Very disappointed!! Addendum 12/5/2016: Receiving notices from iPhone that the app developer needs to update the app, as it will slow down phone operation. Anyone who uses it regularly has known it needs updating for other reasons, as well.

To have accurate reviews of restaurant quality, one must have recent reviews. The most current one I found was two years old. Many restaurants listed are no longer open. This app has obviously been abandoned.

Apple is telling me this app may slow down my iPhone 7 because the app developer has not updated the app in a "while". Looks like this was even a common complaint in 2015 and its now 2017!!!! Update please!!!!!!!!!!

I will be using this app a whole lot!! Its just great, I love it. Shouldve had it a few years ago, but its ok, glad to have it now.

So you have the app promoted on the local news and you didnt expect the server overload when everyone in miami downloads it? Fail

App does not work. Server not responding is the only message.

So far Im not seeing any info worth while, its too slow to be of any value, the server is always coming up in error. I think maybe the resturant are probably paying hackers to block the server.

Good app. Shows me all the ratings of any restaurant. Needs iPhone 5 (4" screen) support. Once it updates to iPhone 5 support, 5 stars!!!

Just saw it work on the news, but I get and nothing but errors.

First day I got it and it doesnt work

My wife and I used it last night before going to what we thought was a great restaurant. However it had 11 violations Good thing we used this app!!!

This app is awesome if you want to know how clean any place is. Could prevent you from getting sick!

Dont understand the problems noted by others. Has been working fine on my iPhone. Just moved here 3 mo ago and wish I got this right away. Feel lucky to have had good meals at a few places noted for some critical violations. Enough other places around so doubt weell return to them until they clean up. Consulting for a seafood mfg has made me very aware of food safety issues. Would be nice to have national coverage for those who travel a lot.

Id love to see a reliable app like this. Although, Yelps customer reviews are pretty good and probably as good as it would get. They should let you see other places the review writers like to cross compare "likes". As for this app. Ive loaded it on my very well running, up to date OS6, iPhone 4S. Right from the start. There were no restaurants in my area. I live within the route 495 beltway around Boston. If it cant find restaurants here its useless. I then looked for restaurants within the capital of Rhode Island, Providence. A Mecca of great ethnic restaurants. Seafood & Italian restaurants probably top a very long list of area restaurants with food from around the globe. Nothing. Tried to enter zip codes to search. Every zip code I entered resulted in a notice: This doesnt appear to be a valid zip code. If the app cant list local restaurants and doesnt recognize zip codes (the only way you can search towns & cities) I wouldnt expect it to be reliable in anything. Use Yelp.

My first time downloading the app and it doesnt work.

Downloaded because I heard it from local news......but it dont work no restaurants are found.

The search feature needs some work. I wish it didnt require a zip code and searching by restaurant sometimes doesnt work. Too slow too.

As a long time sufferer of germaphobia its really hard to find a restaurant I can eat at. Now with this app I can carefully select the cleanest place near me, I love it!
